Tata Harrier EV Production-Ready Version Unveiled Ahead of Launch

Tata Motors has officially showcased the production-ready version of the much-anticipated Harrier EV, signaling that the electric SUV’s launch is imminent. While the vehicle was previously presented as a concept at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in January, this time, Tata has taken a significant step forward by demonstrating the EV’s capabilities with live test track maneuvers.

Design and Features

In terms of design, the Tata Harrier EV retains much of the styling from its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, but with notable changes that reflect its electric nature. One of the most striking updates is the closed-off grille, accompanied by a newly designed bumper with vertical slats, a design element previously seen on the Curvv EV. The Harrier EV also features LED DRLs and headlights that incorporate unique welcome and goodbye animations.

Interior Highlights

Inside, the cabin mirrors the ICE version, but with several premium additions to enhance the driving experience. Key features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a 10-speaker JBL sound system. Notably, the Harrier EV also offers vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-charge functionality, adding to its practicality.

Safety Features

Safety has been a priority for Tata, with the Harrier EV equipped with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, electronic stability control (ESC), TPMS, and a comprehensive suite of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features.

Performance and Platform

Built on Tata’s dedicated "Acti.ev" platform, the Harrier EV is set to feature all-wheel drive capabilities and is expected to offer a range of over 500 km on a single charge. Additionally, the vehicle will be equipped with a multi-link rear suspension, which is anticipated to improve ride quality and handling dynamics, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable driving experience.

With these upgrades and the exciting EV technology, the Tata Harrier EV is poised to be a standout in the electric SUV segment, and its launch will be one to watch closely.
